General Farm Labourer [1 Position]
Permanent, Full Time, On Call, Weekend
The Chicken Labourer will be responsible for the care and well-being of the chickens, carrying out daily chores and accurate record keeping for audit purposes.
Job Requirements:
- Execute and record daily chores.
- Clean out and set up chicken barns in-between flock placements.
- Attend to chick delivery on placement date and prepare for chicken shipping on marketing date.
- Record and administer medication where required.
- Operate basic machinery and hand/power tools to perform routine maintenance tasks, assist with repair projects.
- Responsible for responding to the chicken barn alarm whenever they occur.
- Follow the unit’s biosecurity protocol.
- General housekeeping.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skill Requirements:
- No degree, certificate or diploma
- Tractor & farm truck experience an asset
- Own transportation; Valid driver's licence

Power Washer [1 Position]
Part-time (32 hrs/wk) with the possibility of becoming full-time.
The Power Washer will be responsible for cleaning and disinfecting assigned areas.
Job Requirements:
- Ability to operate pressure washer for an extended period of time
- Attention to detail to ensure cleanliness
- Follow the unit’s biosecurity protocol.
- General housekeeping.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skill Requirements:
- Own transportation; Valid driver's licence

Swine herdsperson (Swine Technician) [1 Positions]
Permanent, Full Time, On Call, Weekend
The General Labourer will be responsible for the care and well-being of the livestock, carrying out daily chores and accurate record keeping, and supporting the Sow Barn Manager on a daily
basis.
Job Requirements:
- Ensure proper care and comfort of sows, gilts, and piglets.
- Assist AI Technician with breeding as required.
- Assist Farrowing Technician with processing and piglet care as required.
- Ensure all animals have water and perform routine maintenance on water drinkers where required.
- Carry out feeding routine.
- Interpret labels, handle and administer medications and vaccines.
- Monitor and maintain proper ventilation and temperature using automated control system.
- Ensure accurate records are kept and submitted in a timely manner.
- Operate a high pressure washer to ensure cleanliness and sanitation standards for the unit are met.
- Follow safe manure management procedures when clearing out manure pits
- Follow proper safety precautions while working with large animals to minimize the chance of injury.
- Follow the unit's biosecurity protocol.
- Promote and exercise a high level of safety practices amongst all personnel in conjunction with company policies and the OHSA.
- Report missing bolts or guards on machinery and do not operate until repaired, report cracks or holes in floors that may cause a tripping hazard, and get help moving heavy objects.
- Report all injuries to a first aid attendant as soon as possible for treatment and documentation.
- Maintain a high level of housekeeping.
- General housekeeping and perform other duties as assigned.
Skill Requirements:
- Have the ability to communicate effectively.
- Able to work within a fast paced environment.
- Work under pressure and to meet tight deadlines
- Pay attention to detail and to handle a large workload.
- Possess the following basic skills; reading text, document use, numeracy, writing, problem solving, critical thinking, job task planning and organizing, significant use of memory, finding information, and continuous learning.
- Tolerant to a physically demanding, noisy, and an odorous environment.
- Own transportation; Valid driver's licence
